Company background

"Diba Shushtar Pulp and Paper Industries" is the continuance of the development of the previously named "Karun Paper" factory. This facility was constructed in the early 1370s in order to utilize bagasse from the cultivation of nearly 25,000 hectares of sugarcane. As one of the largest agricultural and industrial investment units in the region, this unit was situated in the northern portion of the Khuzestan plain in the Shushtar region. At the time, Karun paper was not used for a variety of reasons, including the imposed war. Beginning in the 2010s, Karun Paper was gradually transferred to the private sector, and is now known as "Diba Shushtar Pulp and Paper Industries."
